Im sharing one more "vada "recipe for all.....vada is a traditional south Indian dish, it can be eaten for any time.we all loves uzunnuvada with dosa sambar combination..its really yummy and delicious..ck out the recipe..
Ingredients
Urudal dal /Uzunnu parippu – 1 cupGreen chilies – 2/3 chopped
Ginger – 1 tbsp. chopped
Shallot / small onion/ cheriya ulli -5 /6 chopped
Pepper corns / kurumulaku – 5 /6 crushed (optional)
Baking soda – ¼ tsp.
Salt – to taste
Oil – for frying
Method
Soak the dal for 6 hours and drain it.Grind with salt. Do
not add water. Make in to a smooth paste. After taking the mixture from the
blender add chopped green chillies,ginger, small onion and pepper corns & baking
soda .Mix well .If u really want extra soft vada, keep the mix in the
refrigerator for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes take the mix and make a small balls
flatten each balls and make a hole in the center. Wet your hands when making
the vadas,its helps you avoiding the stickness.Heat the oil in a kadai with
medium fire.Deep fry until the colour became golden brown.Serve hot with sambar / cocount chutney.
